Somerton Court Country House is licensed in accordance with section 26 (1) (bb) of the Marriage Act of 1949 and it can, therefore, be used as a venue for the solemnisation of marriages under the provisions of sections 46a and 46b of the Marriage Act.
Here at Somerton Court we can offer you the opportunity to create the wedding ceremony of your dreams. You can compose your own ceremony, including your favourite pieces of music, poetry and readings. Although the ceremony that you decide upon must not have religious content the opportunity will be yours.
We have three rooms for you to choose from for your ceremony. There will be a 50% discount on the room hire charges if you book your reception here.

We are registered with the South Somerset District Council and their offices are at Maltravers House, Patters Way, Yeovil, Somerset. (Telephone 01935 411230). It is your responsibility to contact the Superintendent Registrar who charges separately for their services.
